Undoubtedly, one of the ways in which the Islamic world can reach prosper is through the expansion of science and technology. This is regarded as one of the most important tracks in reaching sustainable development and enhancing the spiritual as well as material life of the people and nations.
The education system of any nation bears the critical responsibility of dissemination and institutionalisation of science and technology. In a successful education system, the integration of science and technology would greatly facilitate the process of overcoming the challenges facing each society and humanity as a whole. Therefore, the educational systems in the Islamic countries should consider teaching science and technology as two inseparable and irreplaceable elements of their school curricula. Due to the importance of this theme, the organising committee of the ICSTE decided to bring together educational researchers and professionals of the field in line.
